The Historic Gilmer Park Subdivision is located from 900 S to Yale Avenue and from 100 E to 1400 E in Salt Lake City. The majority of the homes built in Gilmer Park were constructed during the 1920′s. The neighborhood consist of around 240 houses of various historic architectural style. Gilmer Park is most known for its unique curving streets, a concept that came from local Salt Lake architect Taylor Woolley, who was an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright during the early 1900′s. In its early days, Gilmer Park was home to several influential politicians, businessmen, and other local professionals.
